Heavy enough to do the job well. I read a number of reviews from other products that complained those others were not heavy enough for insulation, sound deadening, or blackout function. These accomplish all three. They aren't super-duper space-age carbon-reinforced SEAL team 6 equipment, just nice, fairly substantial curtains.They are just a bit wrinkly, but, then again, so am I. They come with the wall mounting hardware to support a pole, so no need to buy that extra. Each box comes with two panels. The dimensions they list are true, but remember, these have that large hanging hole at the top, so you cannot cover a window with the same combined left to right dimensions of the two included panels. My window was about 42 inches or so, so I got the panels of the same width for one panel, and it works fine. You want a little overlap on both sides anyhow, so they can cover side to side without stretching them.So since I might be a vampire, I like to keep my bedroom very cold and dark. My new apartment has lots of light coming through so I needed blackout curtains. Holy crap, these make it dark - worth every penny. It's like I boarded up the windows.Very nice. I should have pressed before hanging but they didn't have that many package wrinkles so I didn't. Will probably steam them later, but they look okay as they are. Hung them in sunroom and looking forward to less light and less COLD this winter. In short, I'm very happy with them.We bought these curtains because our livingroom gets so hot with the large windows we have. Bought one pair from another store that claimed to be 100% blackout, but it did nothing for blocking sunlight and keeping our room at the right temperature. I ordered these and I couldn't be happier. The black fabric on the back makes all the difference. Definitely worth the buy!If you want blackout like me, you've probably tried a million curtains by now ALL claiming to be blackout and failed.
